Saka Annam/ Shaka Annam

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 4 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 10 cashews
  • 3 cardamom
  • 7 pepper
  • 3 cups chopped vegetables
  • 10 curry leaves
  • 3 Tbsp Ghee
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 inch ginger
  • salt to taste
  • 8 chikudikaya
  • 6 dondakaya
  • 2 aloo
  • 2 carrot
  • handful sweet corn
  • handful peas
  • 2 vankaya
  • 1 aritikaya
  • 1/4 sorakaya

Step by Step Procedure to make Saka Annam

Step 1

Take a pressure pan and add ghee.

Step 2

As the ghee heats, add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, pepper and cashews ( follow the same order)

Step 3

As the tampering splatters add chilli and ginger . Allow it to roast till it turns aromatic.

Step 4

Now add curry leaves and allow it splatter.

Step 5

Now add all the vegetables to this tampering and allow to cook for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Now add washed rice to it .

Step 7

Mix well with a light hand .

Step 8

Add salt to taste and mix well.

Step 9

Add 2 cups of water.

Step 10

Now close the lid and allow it to cook till 4 whistles.

Step 11

Tadaaa!!!!! Easy ,one pot , super nutritious Saka Annam is ready to serve.
