Kobbari Annam / Coconut Rice

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp channa dal 
  • 1 tbsp urad dal
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 4 green chillies chopped
  • 1 red chilli
  • 1 inch ginger grated or chopped
  • 10 cashews
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup freshly grated coconut
  • pinch of hing 
  • 10 curry leaves

Step by Step Procedure to make Kobari Annam / Coconut Rice

Step 1

Take a pan and add oil.

Step 2

Now as the oil heats add urad dal and channa dal . 

Step 3

As the dals starts to turn brown, add cashews.

Step 4

As the cashews start to turn brown , add cumin and mustard seeds.

Step 5

As cumin seeds start to splatter , add chillies and chopped ginger.

Step 6

Add some hing as the tampering starts to splatter.

Step 7

Now add some curry leaves and wait for them to splatter. 

Step 8

Now add grated coconut allow the coconut to absorb all flavors. 

Step 9

Secret ingredient: if you like the flavor add some cinnamon powder at the end and switch off the gas stove. 

Step 10

In a mixing bowl add cooked rice , salt to taste and the tampering prepared.

Step 11

Mix well . 

Step 12

Tadaaa!!! yummiee and easy Kobari annam / Coconut rice.
