
Simple, quick and easy Mamidikaya/ Raw Mango Pulihora is very popular for any summer festivals or gatherings. As raw mangoes are seasonal it is mostly prepared based on the availability.
Ingredients

- 4 cups Cooked rice
- 1 cup grated Raw Mango
- 2 Tbsp Peanuts
- 1 Tbsp Urad Dal
- 1 Tbsp of Channa Dal
- 1 Tsp Mustard seeds
- 1 Tsp Cumin seeds
- A pinch of Asafetida
- 1 Tsp turmeric powder
- 10-15 curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1Tbsp of oil
Step by Step Preparation

Step 1
Take a pan and add oil. (Flame level Medium-to-low).

Step 2
As the oil heats up, add peanuts.

Step 3
As the peanuts get roasted, add channa dal and urad dal.

Step 4
As the dals turn a little brown, add cumin and mustard seeds.

Step 5
As the mustard seeds start to splatter, add slitted green chillies.

Step 6
Now add turmeric and asafetida.

Step 7
Now add Curry leaves and stop the flame.

Step 8
Now in a mixing bowl add the cooked rice and mixture made above.

Step 9
Now also add grated raw mango and salt to taste.

Step 10
Mix everything well. Tadaa!! Mango Pulihora is ready to enjoy.
Tip: If the Raw mango is not sour enough then you can squeeze in a few drops of lemon.
